![]() I guess my big question is should I work with the options they gave me or just return the drive and try again with a Pegasus or something? Thanks! I've been working for a couple of core clients for a while who all have their own enterprise storage systems, it's only been since the pandemic that I started picking up smaller clients who do not, so this my first experience archiving projects on my own. ![]() Again, is anyone using the SoftRAID beta? Any thoughts? Bad idea? Open beta isn't the most assuring phrase when it comes to critical data storage, but everything I have is already backed up, just not in very safe or long term way. Does anyone here have experience using this? Do you recommend it? Alternatively, they sent me a link to sign up for a SoftRAID open beta that supports RAID 5 on Windows. Anyway, they sent me instructions how to format the drives to be used in RAID 5 with Windows' built in StorageSpaces. That's what their technical support confirmed, though. I'm sure it's possible that I missed it, but in all my research the Thunderbay 4 with the SoftRAID software it comes with was marketed as RAID 5 ready, not RAID 5 ready *but only on Mac OS.
